Dave Gosney writes:
When I decided to update my series of ‘Finding Birds in..’ books, I realised that the books would have certain limitations. No books can give you a real ‘feel’ for what a place is like, what it’s like to be there, what sounds you will hear... so I chose to produce a film to go with each title. These films introduce you to many of the sites in the book and show only what was filmed there during a relatively brief visit. This gives you a much more realistic impression of what you are likely to experience yourself if you go birdwatching there.
Plus, of course, every site you see in each film is described in detail in the corresponding book, showing you exactly where each of these birds was filmed.
